Zoning Board grants permits for three garage projects; two cases continued.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of April 23, 2026
BOXFORD — Zoning Board approves garage and kennel renovation permits; two cases continued. The Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously granted a special permit for a detached garage with accessory dwelling unit at 18 MacDonald Drive and approved renovations to an existing barn kennel at 7 Endicott Road, with Garrett Friedman and Daniel Paglia respectively volunteering to draft written decisions. Two additional applications were continued to May 28: a Boxford Farm Realty Trust accessory apartment at 213 Ipswich Road and Michael and Darlene Hall's additional garage bay at 29 Berry Patch Lane, which requires revised drawings, photographs, and a Planning Board referral.
An accessory dwelling unit proposal for 235 Main Street was rejected without formal vote after Chair Ralph Nay calculated the structure exceeded the 900-square-foot maximum allowable size by 400 to 500 square feet. The Board unanimously recommended Stephen Carpenter for appointment to the vacant alternate member position.
