Zoning Board approves June 25 continuances for two Special Permits
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of May 28, 2026
Boxford Zoning Board continued two Special Permit applications to June 25. The board unanimously approved continuances for Case 1073 (213 Ipswich Road, Boxford Farm Realty Trust) and Case 1082 (29 Berry Patch Lane, Michael and Darlene Hall), both involving garage expansion, after applicants requested additional time to address Planning Board peer review comments and Conservation Commission requirements. Chair Ralph Nay formally welcomed new Alternate Member Steve Carpenter after confirming he had completed all required swearing in and training.
The board reviewed a proposed single-story Accessory Dwelling Unit at 30 Highland Road; Vice Chair Thomas Jonak questioned floor area calculations and garage attribution before the board found no violations of state ADU bylaw. Building Inspector Peter Delaney reported that the Ingalls Village Way development remains substantially complete with $250,000 reserved in bond for the water treatment plant.
