Overnight road line painting wraps up this week

The Town of Boxford announced Oct. 26 that its contractor, K5, would continue painting center and edge, or "fog," lines on town roads overnight that Monday and into Tuesday night, Oct. 27.
Work was expected to take place from about 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night, concluding early Wednesday morning, Oct. 28.
Police details and Department of Public Works staff accompanied the contractor throughout the work. Fresh paint takes about 45 minutes to one hour to dry enough for vehicle traffic.
The town asked motorists to use caution, follow directions from police and crews, and avoid driving over freshly painted lines.
