CPC backs soccer nets and schoolhouse completion funding
Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of February 10, 2026
BOXFORD — Community Preservation Committee approves soccer net funding and project invoice. The CPC voted 6-0 to support a $3,190 application for replacement soccer nets at Spofford School, with the parent association and school committed to cost-sharing and maintenance. In a 5-1 abstention vote, members approved a $36,528 payment to Stantec from the project account.
The Little Red Schoolhouse Committee, which has exhausted its dedicated CPC funds, requested an additional $25,000 to complete a $75,000 restoration; the minutes do not record a formal vote on that request, which remains pending alongside a separate $20,000 grant application.
