Conservation Commission grants agricultural licenses, continues multiple hearings

Boxford Conservation Commission approves agricultural licenses for two hay operations. Chair David Smallman and the commission voted unanimously to grant Lou Athanos agricultural licenses for Haynes Field and Cargill Field, including permission to use fertilizer 210-014 at 65 pounds per acre on both properties, following a joint discussion with the Agricultural Committee led by Chair Laura Sapienza-Grabski about maintaining the fields consistent with the town's Master Plan. The commission also voted unanimously to continue granting Robert Hazelwood an agricultural license to hay Anvil Farm, which he has maintained using organic materials.

Five development hearings were continued to May 7 and May 21 with site walks scheduled for May 6 and 7.
