Conservation Commission continues three wetland hearings, revises agricultural license draft
Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 5, 2026
Boxford Conservation Commission continues three wetland hearings, revises agricultural license. The Commission unanimously postponed the YMCA of Greater Boston Camp Wakanda improvements hearing (NOI 114-1438) to March 5, deferring review of a proposed pavilion, gravel activities area requiring removal of five living oak trees, beach sand nourishment, and canoe launch in the 100-foot no-disturb buffer to Stiles Pond. Member Greg Kokorda expressed opposition to tree removal.
The Commission also advanced revisions to an agricultural license draft that would allow licensees to erect structures with prior written town permission and restrict commercially produced pesticides and fertilizers except where approved by the town in advance. Further discussion with town counsel is planned on the insurance requirements section before finalization.
