BOXFORD — Conservation Commission approves agricultural licenses for three applicants, tables Anvil Farm after contract dispute. Chair David Smallman and all seven members present voted unanimously to issue licenses to Pieter Muntendam (Millbrook Farm, Peabody field, and Hovey's Pond Meadow, terminating end of 2026), Larry Morris (Witch Hollow Farm), and Marcelle Racine (Nason Field lavender). When Bob Hazelwood sought contract modifications for Anvil Farm and the Commission declined, the board voted 6-1 to put Anvil Farm, Haynes Field, and Cargill Field out to bidding by April 9, 2026, with Natasha Grigg dissenting.
The Commission also continued three permit hearings to April 9 and April 23.
