Boxford Releases FY27 Budget and Capital Plan for Review

Town Hall this week posted the fiscal 2027 proposed budget and capital plan for public review, giving residents their first look at spending priorities ahead of the fall town meeting season, even as the town finalizes a regional 911 dispatch transition and gears up for the September 1 state primary.

The fiscal 2027 proposed budget and capital plan is now available for public review on the town website, according to the town's homepage announcement. No further budget detail was provided in the posting.

Boxford is also moving forward with a transition to North Shore Regional 911, according to a town announcement directing residents to a "Read on" notice with more detail on the change to emergency dispatch service.

With the September 1 state primary approaching, the Town Clerk's office has posted sample ballots and election details on the town website and is recruiting residents to serve as election workers. Interested residents can email Town Clerk's office contact RPhelan@BoxfordMA.gov.

COMING UP

The Merrimack Valley Workforce Board's MASSHIRE program holds a public meeting Tuesday, August 18. The Board of Health and the Planning Board both meet Wednesday, August 19. The town will test ballot tabulators for the September 1 state primary on Thursday, August 20.
